Viking Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Body Technician for our body shop department. As an Automotive Body Technician, you'll play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original condition after they've been damaged. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles not only look great but are also safe to drive. You'll work on various tasks, from fixing dents to replacing entire body panels, and collaborate closely with a dedicated team to deliver top-notch service to our customers.

Requirements:

  • Damage Assessment: Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage and plan the necessary repairs.
  • Body Repairs: Repair or replace damaged front-end components, doors, frame sections, and underbody parts.
  • Dent Removal: Use specialized tools to smooth out dents, buckles, and other imperfections.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primers.
  • Painting: Mix and apply paint, ensuring a seamless color match and a flawless finish.
  • Glass Replacement: Repair or replace windshields, windows, and sunroofs as needed.
  • Interior Repairs: Fix or replace interior components like seat frames, carpets, and insulation.
  • Quality Control: Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives to ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This includes proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of tools and machinery, and adherence to hazardous materials protocols.

Pay   -- $30 / per hour

Expected hours: 30 -- 40 per week

Preferred Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive body repair is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in auto body repair or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with repair tools and equipment, including welders, grinders, and spray guns.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Problem-solving abilities to tackle various repair challenges.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Conduct employee meetings on HR policies, benefits, and workplace matters.

Income Range -- $33 to $47.12 / per hour with 30 -- 35 hours per week

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience in HR management and labor relations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry is a plus.
